"Always pushing the envelope, Olson’s strengths are in color and form, with the ability to distill the essence of nature into her paintings. She has a sensitive and personal style of painting while expressing her emotions in an imaginative and beautiful way. Her most recent works of exploration demonstrate her sensitive use of colors that open into forms of softened geometry that rule the surface. Her creations are characterized by brave applications of color in both painterly and geometric compositions in pastel, oils and water media. For more than two decades, Eileen has been engaged in an ongoing experiment with painting.
